Ministry of Information and Communications Technology is implementing various initiatives to upscale access to information, a development that was announced at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The ministry’s Principal Secretary Esmie Kainja said Malawi Government is undertaking various efforts to bridge the knowledge gap, especially the rural-urban information inequality.

WSIS is a global UN platform that facilitates the implementation of ICT-related initiatives for advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
