One Acre Fund local government officer, Frank Mkwaila, has announced that the program has targeted 56,331 families in its farm inputs loan program.

The farmers will receive a loan package of NPK and UREA fertilizers, maize, soya and groundnuts seeds which will be repayable in ten months. According to Mkwaila, the beneficiaries will be drawn from Mulanje, Thyolo, Blantyre, Chiradzulo, Zomba and Machinga districts.

The farmers in the said locations have to treat this loan as an opportunity that will boost their harvests resulting in food security at household, community and national level.
