Established in 1985, Trans Maritime Ltd is an independent Malawi based logistics and freight forwarding company providing air, sea, road, import and export services globally.

The Group Chairman Mr Gulam Seedat Started Transmaritime in 1985 after having worked and gained experience in the freight industry since the age of 18.

The company started with a total staff compliment of 4 members, today Trans Maritime prides its self with a total of almost 60 staff and this number is increasing.  Expansion included branches in Blantyre and Lilongwe as well as border offices at the major entry points into Malawi,   in addition the chairman saw the need and built an Inland Container Handling facility which is called GMS Container Terminals, TMT is the market leader in the handling of containerised cargo imports into Malawi.

The company is held in high esteem with the major shipping lines such as Mediterranean shipping Company (MSC), Safmarine/Mearsk , CMA/CGM which are represented in Malawi. TMT are the number one supporter of imports via the Nacala route by rail into Malawi and have a fair market share for containers Via Beira, Durban and Dar es Salam.
