castCastel Malawi pumps K20 million
in Cyclone Freddy’s response

Castel Malawi Limited has today handed over relief items worth K20 million through Young Achievers for Development in support of those affected by the devastating Cyclone Freddy.

The company has provided the items to people in four evacuation centers in Ndirande Township, one of the locations in Blantyre which have been worst hit by Cyclone Freddy.

The donation includes rolls of plastic sheets for protection, assorted plastic buckets and water guard to ensure clean water for the victims, blankets, sugar, table salt, maize flour, and relish.

Castel Malawi Managing Director Thomas Reynaud said the company’s response will extend beyond Blantyre to areas such as Nguludi in Chiradzulu District in the coming days to reach more Malawians also affected by the cyclone.
