FDH Bank has launched FDH Digi-Save campaign to encourage its customers to embrace the culture of saving and FDH Mobile’s “digital revolution”.
The promotion runs for three months from May 25 to August 25 this year and has, on offer, a grand prize of K1 million.
There are also monthly draws, which will see one person walking away with K500,000, three people winning smart phones, 10 customers getting cash prizes of K50,000, with 20 lucky customers winning FDH Mobile branded T-shirts.
Addressing journalists during the launch in Blantyre, FDH Bank Head of Personal and Business Banking, Kawawa Msapato, said the bank is interested in seeing people opening savings accounts with at least K20, 000 and connecting them to FDH Mobile.
“Customers who are already on FDH Mobile can also qualify into the draw of this promotion by maintaining a balance of K50,000 a month in a savings account. Furthermore, those that transact on FDH Mobile at least five times a month either on bill payments, airtime purchase, transfers or cash outs stand a chance of winning great prizes in this promotion.
“We also want to see those that are registered on the mobile platform transacting regularly and taking control of their own financial transactions without going to a branch of the bank. Moving with the times is always crucial. Nowadays it is not the fittest who survive but those that adapt to change quickly. Times are changing and we need to get in line with developments,” Msapato said.
Msapato said it is high time the country embraced a savings culture as well as mobile transactions, describing them as “two revolutions”.
He said, while saving is not easy, the best time to start saving was now, putting an individual in a better position to react to emergencies, prepare for retirement and other unforeseen circumstances.
