Stakeholders in the Malawian beef industry were discussing ways of improving the sector’s contribution to the national economy, where it was revealed that lack of research and exposure to markets and global trends.

The National Agricultural Investment Programme assured attendees that Government is working on reviving the livestock industry.

Meanwhile, the industry suffers Foot and Mouth Disease outbreaks, which may also be a reason why beef production has slowed down.
